To date, most of Community Energy Warwickshire’s work has focused on ways to generate renewable energy from local resources. But we recognise that just as important is help local communities and local people to reduce the amount of energy they use.

Advice on energy efficiency and help with cutting fuel bills is provided in Warwickshire and Coventry by Act on Energy. Community Energy Warwickshire has worked with Act on Energy to promote energy efficiency and encourage people to reduce their energy use and fuel bills.

Community Energy Warwickshire ran six local community energy fairs with Act on Energy in March 2012. Providing a show case for local energy efficiency and renewable energy firms, these were visited by several hundred people.

Act on Energy has also supported Community Energy Warwickshire’s work to increase awareness of energy efficiency among the staff of South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust as part of our solar-powered hospitals project.

Community Energy Warwickshire has also helped to fund energy efficiency schemes through its grants programme.
